Mark Ling and Affilorama
For a lot of people this is the name they actually remember, and it is the most checkable part of the seller's record. Here is what it was and what it is worth now.
What it was
An affiliate marketing training platform and community from the search-and-content era: pick a niche, build a content site, rank it, monetise with other people's products. Free tier below paid tiers, and for a long stretch one of the larger entry points into the industry.
Traffic Travis, the desktop SEO software, ran alongside it as the measurement half of the same offer. The fuller profile.
What it is worth as evidence
| Establishes | Does not establish |
|---|---|
| A decade-plus public operation | That the 2026 method works |
| Thousands of people who can speak to it | A typical outcome |
| Software shipped, not just courses | Anything about current teaching |
The fair criticism
Heavy upselling, and a free tier that mostly functioned as a funnel. That is an accurate description and also an accurate description of most training platforms of that period. Context rather than exoneration.
What matters is whether the same pattern runs now, and on the current launch the structure is unusually transparent: published price, published close, terms before payment.
Why the eras are not comparable
Affilorama taught ranking a site in Google. Commission Cycle teaches earning reach through replies on social. Different channel, different skill, different time to first feedback. Nothing carries across except offer selection.
The practical use of this
Ten minutes, once, to satisfy yourself the seller is real. Then move on to the method, which is where the $2,497 decision actually gets made before 24 September 2026, 11:59pm Pacific.
